There are a limited number of contractors who deliver major projects in Queensland.Many of these contractors utilise similar workforce planning processes to determine project schedules and manage labour costs.The Contractors Leaders Group will be central to Workforce Planning for the construction industry, enabling the industry to better plan and coordinate projects and labour requirements.Some of the anticipated functions of this group will include
1.Sharing project workforce data 2.Identifying opportunities to grow and develop the construction workforce 3.Overseeing Workforce Planning strategies being identified and implemented in the Sector Development Strategies, and 4.Identifying workforce skilling and development initiatives that are required by the construction industry.
