Construction Skills Queensland provides the construction industry and its stakeholders with support, advice and funding assistance for each financial year.
As funding is limited we constantly work in partnership with the Commonwealth and State Government to leverage funding assistance and support for industry employers, workers, trainers and other industry stakeholders.
Construction Skills Queensland provides funding assistance to industry from funds collected through the industry's training levy. All building and construction projects in Queensland over $80,000 have a training levy assigned to them.
For administration purposes, QLeave collects the building and construction training levy on behalf of the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (Qld) under The Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991.
Construction Skills Queensland holds these funds in trust and reinvests them back into Queensland's construction industry based on priorities set by industry.
