Skills Assessment & Gap Training - 2011/12
Many existing workers have the necessary skills base to perform on the job but do not have the formal qualifications to recognise these skills. Many others need just a few competencies to bring their skills into line with industry standard.
Construction Skills Queensland administers the Skills Assessment and Gap Training program which provides funds to contracted Registered Training Organisations for assessment and training services to enable existing workers and new entrants, including migrants, to have their building and construction trade skills assessed and recognised to achieve their formal qualifications.
Places for the Skills Assessment & Gap Training program may be limited.
