Construction Skills Queensland, as the building and construction centre of excellence, is a step forward in developing an industry-wide, industry driven approach that represents a true partnership model between industry and government.
It will foster co-ordination, ownership and leadership from within industry, and strengthen the role of employers in overcoming skills shortages. By concentrating investments into the one, industry driven entity, Construction Skills Queensland is able to develop strong and enduring linkages with employers and other stakeholders to encourage industry ownership of its skills formation, attraction and retention processes. It will be driven by industry, for industry.
