The
2008 Be Constructive® Careers Expo
will be held at
Robina Town Centre,
September 5-6.
Entry is free.
This year the Expo takes on an exciting new format - in what we believe is a Queensland
first, the 2008 Expo will be held around an actual construction site. Thanks to the support of Robina Town Centre,
and the construction project managers Bovis Lend Lease, attendees will be able
to view some of the Centre's new and exciting retail facilities being built, as
well as interact amongst a range of hands on construction displays and
information booths.
The Expo's
hands on nature through Try'a Trade® will again help demonstrate to career
seekers how they can progress in trades, diplomas and master level qualifications
as well as associated employment opportunities.
Friday
5 September will be predominantly for school students, deciding which career
path they wish to pursue. The Be
Constructive® Careers Expo organisers have arranged buses to transport them to
and from Robina Town Centre.
Existing
building and construction workers as well as general public are welcome to
attend the Expo on either day.
Over the
past five years the Expo has enjoyed immense success and involvement from a
large number of construction companies, building and trade associations, Try'a
Trade®, technical colleges, Australian apprenticeship centres and group
training organisations. The Expo would
like to thank Registered Training Organisation Koolat Safety and Careers
Australia Institute of Training for their support.
Please
note you must wear closed in shoes to take part in the Try'a Trade® activities.
