Careers Australia is passionate about creating opportunities for lifelong learning and, with the demand for skilled workers at an all-time high, continues to play a significant role in helping address the national skills shortage.

Courses are offered in various locations across South-East Queensland, with campuses at the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Cairns, Toowoomba, Salisbury and Brendale providing training in over 40 courses in apprenticeship based trades.

CAIT has a focus on flexible learning and delivery, including workplace delivery and block training to ensure the needs and expectations of employers and apprentices are met and exceeded. CAIT provides employers and students with a continuous education stream with the ability to start vocational education and continue through to full university qualifications if desired. The courses are focused on trade and advanced vocational education.
Through regular contact with students and their supervisors, the trainers have the opportunity to continually assess progress and abilities and skill levels, both on site and at the Institute. Trainers are key to the success of the programmes run at CAIT and hence, they are required to spend time throughout the year in Industry to ensure their skills are current and can bring their wealth of knowledge back to CAIT which in turn benefit students.
