As the Queensland building and construction industry prepares for a period of rapid growth, Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) has launched its 2011/2012 Training Plan to help deliver vital new skills to the industry.
A number of billion dollar CSG/LNG, coal and major infrastructure projects, coupled with post disaster rebuilding efforts, are set to place unprecedented demands on Queensland’s construction workforce.
In response, CSQ will invest $47million into key initiatives outlined in the Training Plan which will support career seekers, apprentices, workers, employers and training organisations in the industry.
