CSQ continues to monitor the impacts and responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and to the subsidised training delivered through our Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

We are aware that some RTOs are adjusting their training and assessment strategies to meet new guidelines and we recommend that you contact your chosen provider to determine any changes or limitations to training delivery.

This Certificate IV (4) reflects the role of employees working in supervisory positions in civil construction. They perform tasks involving a broad range of varied activities most of which are complex and non-routine. They are responsible for the quantity and quality of the output of others, contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems and apply management plans to the workplace.

Maximum funding contribution: $5,906.00

Program category: Higher Level Skills Apprentice Advance Plus

Eligible participants under this program:

  1. must be:
      • an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
      • a permanent resident of Australia; or
      • a holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa
  2. and must:
      • permanently reside in Queensland; or
      • be permanently employed in Queensland
  3. and must be:
      • a current active apprentice or trainee in Queensland as defined in the Further Education and Training Act 2014 undertaking a CSQ approved apprenticeships or traineeship; or
      • an existing worker or unemployed eligible worker in the first year out of their CSQ approved apprenticeship or traineeship who must commence training within 365 days of the completion date in DELTA; or
      • a cancelled apprentice or trainee who was undertaking a CSQ approved apprenticeship or traineeship that has been cancelled and they are currently accessing State Government funding to complete their institution-based training; and
      • must have completed at least 2 years of their apprenticeship or traineeship and currently be in their 3rd or 4th year at the time of cancellation
  4. and must not be:
      • an employee of any Authority (excluding employees of an Indigenous Council that is a Principal Contractor); or
      • a contracted trainer and assessor or existing worker of an RTO; or
      • already funded by an Authority or other such source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program; and
      • previously funded under Higer Level Skills for the same program period or enrolled in a qualification they have previously completed.
