CSQ’s CEO Brett Schimming has confirmed support for this year’s MATES in Construction Kokoda Trek, and will even be pulling on a pack to join the adventure.
Brett is one of three CSQ trekkers who will be testing their legs along the infamous jungle track to fundraise for MATES in Construction.
“I’m keen to head back to Kokoda again. I did the trek a few years ago and have always wanted to give it another crack. It’s tough but anyone can do it. Even a seventy-four year old lady has done it. So I encourage you to join me, we have 3 months to get fit and that’s plenty of time.”
The Trek takes place from 4-13 September, coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day.

A MATES in Construction Kokoda fundraising event was held at Victoria Park (Brisbane) on Wednesday 17 June to encourage more industry sign-ups for the trek. Over 240 people attended the breakfast and to date 30 people have stepped forward to take part in the fundraising trek.
