Asbestos Awareness Week (20 November – 24 November) is a great opportunity to raise awareness about training and working safely with asbestos in the building and construction industry.
At CSQ we are encouraging all Queensland building and construction industry businesses and workers to take proactive steps to help reduce the risks of asbestos hazards. Asbestos can have devastating long-term health impacts, and these health issues have implications for the construction industry and the broader community.
CSQ understands these risks and is committed to supporting building and construction workers to undertake training courses which give them the knowledge and skills to work safely with asbestos.
Under our 2017-18 Annual Training Plan we currently have seven short course programs available:
- Working Safely with Asbestos Containing Materials – WSFACM001A
- Identify and Report Asbestos Materials / Products – ABSIRA001A
- Identify Asbestos Containing Materials and Follow Safety and Reporting Procedures – ASBIAM001
- Remove Friable Asbestos – CPCCDE3015A
- Supervise Asbestos Removal – CPCCBC4051A
- Remove Non-Friable Asbestos – CPCCDE3014A
