CSQ has joined forces with UDIA (Qld) to launch The Research Foundation which will commission a four-part, ongoing program of research, filling a critical gap by delivering both industry and consumer insight and analysis.
Up-to-date research is a key ingredient of good property development and with a more informed industry more affordable and appropriate homes will be delivered to Queenslanders.
Brett Schimming, CEO of CSQ said The Research Foundation was a great example of industry working together to deliver great insights for the broader market.

“Research and analysis of data is critical to a robust housing development and construction industry, which is why CSQ is partnering with the UDIA on The Research Foundation”, he said.

“The housing and construction industry is one of the most important economic drivers and indicators, the more we know the better we can plan housing developments and ensure we have the right skills and training in place to meet future needs, he said.”
Brett Gillan, UDIA (Qld) President, said “The Research Foundation has been initiated as a result of a real need to assist the industry to develop and build the right type of housing in the right locations, at the right time.
“This means better communities can be built that match the needs and preferences of the people who require them, just when they need it, keeping quality accommodation more affordable.”
The Research Foundation will be informed by the Industry Leaders Research Group which  includes industry luminaries from Stockland, Amex Corp, Lend Lease, Australand, Investa, Peet, Pradella Property Ventures, Excel Development Group, Defence Housing Australia, Pointcorp, AV Jennings, McNab and PLACE Design Group who are providing advice on the most relevant research parameters.
