Yesterday CSQ's Executive Leadership Team met with eight representatives from Cambodia’s National Training Board. The delegation is touring Australia as part of a program aimed at developing the country’s technical vocational education and training (TVET).

Cambodia faces some unique challenges in building the skills capacity of its people and the Royal Government of Cambodia is developing a responsive TVET program to meet the emerging needs of its labour market.

The Asian Development Bank is currently working with their Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training on a project called 'Strengthening Technical, Vocational Education and Training'. One aspect of this project involves strengthening the institutional capacity of leaders to plan and manage TVET in Cambodia.

The delegation included the Director General of TVET and the Head of the National Employment Agency.

The visitors were interested in learning about the roles and responsibilities at CSQ and how we support the development of skilled workers in the construction sector.
