Short courses

Keep your skills up to date and stay in demand.

Are you an existing worker in the building and construction industry looking to learn new and important skills that will help you to further your career in construction or re-enter the industry? Our Short Courses program could be right for you.

The Short Courses program provides funding to assist with upskilling and cross skilling existing workers in the building and construction industry. Short Courses are individual competencies and skills sets designed to provide flexible solutions to workers wanting to update their skills and knowledge in specific, targeted areas.

How does funding work?

CSQ contributes towards the cost of courses. Funding is paid directly to the contracted Registered Training Organisation as a contribution towards the cost of services to reduce the cost to participants. Participants are expected to contribute towards the cost of training. The RTO will assess participants’ eligibility for funding and will advise you of the costs you will need to meet.

Next steps:

All training is delivered through our contracted RTOs. If you think a course in this program might be suitable for you and you meet the eligibility criteria, contact a contracted RTO delivering the course you are interested in.

You’ll need to get in quick as places are limited. Our funding period commences annually in October.
