CSQ can help get your existing skills assessed, and then fund your required training, so you can receive a nationally recognised building and construction qualification.
You may be eligible for the SAGT program if you are:

- An experienced existing worker who does not hold a nationally recognised Queensland Building and Construction qualification.
- If you are currently or recently employed in the Queensland building and construction industry, you may be eligible for CSQ funded training. Please contact a Training Provider to discuss.

How the SAGT program works
Most of the SAGT units are achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). You will need to show evidence of your work history and skills that you have performed over time in the workplace to prove you have the necessary skills for each unit. To be eligible for this funding, participants must be able to demonstrate RPL experience in at least 70% of the competencies required by the trade qualification. The remainder of the qualification is then made up by gap training. Our contracted Training Providers will assess your existing skills and provide the training to fill any gaps – this is why we call it ‘gap training’.
