Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.

CSQ is the trading name for the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (Qld), an income tax exempt charitable trust.
BCITF (Qld) Limited acts as the corporate trustee of the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (Qld) and is an unlisted public company limited by guarantee.
The Queensland Government Minister in charge of the training portfolio is the sole member of BCITF (Qld) Limited and appoints the Board of Directors.
How we’re funded – the levy
CSQ is funded by a statutory training levy established under the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991.
The levy is charged on all building and construction work performed in Queensland with a cost of $150,000 or more (excluding GST) at a rate of 0.1% of the cost of the project. The levy is collected by QLeave.
